What can I do to make my Maniko Strips last longer?

Depending on the individual nature of the nail, the durability of the UV gel strips can vary. So here are a few tips:

If you have a rather oily nail surface, it is essential to degrease the nail thoroughly before applying the strips. This works best with the included Prep&Prime pads. You can also apply a traditional (non-UV) basecoat first to create a "barrier" between your natural nail and the strips to extend their durability. We currently don't have our own basecoat in our range, so you'll have to experiment a little to see which one works best for you (fortunately, basecoats are available in drugstores for small money).

On the other hand, a rather dry, brittle nail surface is often slightly rough, which means the strips don't stick as well. Basically: the smoother and more uniform the surface, the better the adhesion/durability. Here it can help to lightly buffer the nail before attaching the strips (buffer files are also available at the drugstore). A base coat can also help here, as it can even out any unevenness and thus create a smooth, even surface.

In general, it is also important to know that the strips should not cure for longer than the 60 seconds preset in the UV lamp, otherwise they may flake off.
Furthermore, the IV gel strips also harden again, i.e. if there are problems with durability, it is also a good tip to apply the strips in the evening and then no longer take a bath, shower, do household tasks, etc., so that the strips can harden in peace overnight.

We hope the tips are helpful for you!
